Grade three students support WWF
WWF team visited GMIS on the 16.11.11 along with the “WWF PANDA
MOBILE “- WWF’S educational
van/library .
Our preschoolers had a lot of fun and a great learning
experience in the WWF PANDA MOBILE watching videos , going through some picture
books and interacting with the WWF team members regarding the importance of
being kind towards animals . The prep students were very inquisitive about
animals as their ongoing unit of inquiry is also about animals .
Through their annual drama “The pride of Savannah” , grade
three students are gaining more awareness of wildlife and the importance of
conserving it . So , they had invited WWF team to get a better understanding of
this issue .
WWF team made a detailed interactive presentation for grade 3
students regarding the Sumatran tigers – one of the endangered species. They also discussed the
action we can take to protect the tigers and our environment . The students
asked many questions and demonstrated a
lot of enthusiasm and motivation to support the noble cause .
